THE VIBRATOS COVER "ECHO BEACH" ON THEIR NEW ALBUM

For guitarists and those interested in the '60s instrumental sounds of the legendary UK group The Shadows, check out The Vibratos new album, THE CAPPUCCINO KID, which includes a Shadows-style instrumental version of ECHO BEACH, deftly reproduced on vintage guitars and organ by Dick Plant and Warren Bennett. Dick says, "I love the guitar riff - it's really quite weird and off the wall - not something I could ever imagine coming up with myself. It took a bit of head-scratching to figure it out." "THE BAY OF LOVE AND SORROWS" OPENS IN TORONTO, MONTREAL AND VANCOUVER

Director Tim Southam's feature film debut, THE BAY OF LOVE AND SORROWS, based on the novel by Giller Award and Governor General's Award winner David Adams Richards is set to open in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver on January 31st. Martha and Mark provided a song entitled THERE COMES A DAY as a theme for one of the major characters. (See item under FEBRUARY 2002 MARTHA AND MARK RESURRECT AN OLD SONG FOR A NEW FILM.) . THERE COMES A DAY was written in Bath, England during the MODERN LULLABY sessions (MatM's seventh studio album released in 1992), but not included on that album. After some lyric changes by Martha, the song was rerecorded for the film.

AUDIOERA.COM NOT AUTHORIZED TO SELL "ICE AGE"

Over the past months, several MatM fans have emailed us enquiring about AudioEra.com preselling copies of THIS IS THE ICE AGE from their website. Martha and Mark want to make it absolutely clear that this is not the case. THIS IS THE ICE AGE is not yet legally available from anyone and the AudioEra website should not be advertising this album.

We have asked AudioEra to remove all information regarding THIS IS THE ICE AGE and any other MatM material from their website. When we reissue THIS IS THE ICE AGE, (with bonus tracks from the same session etc), everyone on our email list and visitors to our website will be the first to know about it.
