Prologue To The Performing Arts, an organisation which brings quality
children's performers into schools and public venues, celebrated
it's 35th anniversary with a concert entitled Festival Jamboree
as part of the Milk International Children's Festival held annually
at Toronto's Harbourfront.
Hosted by Bram Morrison and Sharon Hampson, the event featured many
of Prologue's top children's artists including Martha Johnson, Eric
Nagler, Jack Grunsky, Ballet Creole, Kanata Native Dance Theatre,
Kim and Jerry Brodey and Maderaz, who braved unseasonably cold weather
to perform in front of thousands of children and parents on Harbourfront's
outdoor stage.
Joined by the other artists who imitated talking babies at key moments,
(Eric Nagler's impersonation was particularily notable!), Martha
and Mark performed "My Little Sister", from Martha's highly
acclaimed "Songs From The Tree House' album. The audience joined
in for the rousing choruses of "Mama, Mama, Don't Brush My
Hair", a newer song already a favourite with live audiences,
slated for Martha's next album for children.

Martha Johnson and Mark Gane are pleased to announce the launch
of the Official Martha and the Muffins website at www.marthaandthemuffins.com.
Months of sifting through 25 years of band archives has unearthed
a wealth of material of which this initial offering to fans and
the curious is only the beginning.
Photos, a discography, video stills, a comprehensive band history,
FAQs, merchandise and stories behind the songs are among the things
currently accessible at the MatM site. More archival material will
be added in the future as well as updates on Martha and Mark's activities.
Crucial to the site's ongoing development will be feedback from
MatM's reconnected fan base.
Martha and Mark want to thank Melissa and Vince at Zymocreations
for a great site design; PromoFACT
for funding support; Graham Stairs at Popguru
for pushing us to get this done; Ken Hamilton in Boston, Gleb Zeverev
in Moscow and Richard Noel and Garnet Simpson in Toronto for keeping
our listeners informed over the years through their individual fan
sites; Chris Terry, Debi Palloway, Martha Ladly and Katija Mohideen
for their assistance in scanning visuals and Aaron Badgeley for
research and reconnaissance.
