SWIMMING From the album "THIS IS THE ICE AGE" 1981

A tale of seduction as told by a coward. That old question: Is it Love or just Sex? Jump in but don't drown!

The music evolved out of a improvised jam by the band and I went home that night and wrote the lyrics. The next morning I and the engineer recorded the vocal in one take before anyone else had arrived. Martha and
Jocelyne added their sensuous cyclic backing vocals and the track was almost complete.

The noisy streetscape at the beginning of the track was recorded on a ledge outside the window at the seductee's apartment overlooking Yonge St. in Toronto on a Saturday night during a heat wave.
