"To Dream About You" is a song about personal obsession
and the way time punctuates the life of an obsessed person.
The central character is hopelessly in love with someone who
may only be a figment of her imagination.
She experiences a disengagement of time and direction, what
is real and unreal, what is true and untrue. The resulting
mental and physical distortions have created an insular existence
where one room, the bedroom, has become her whole world. The
bed is the center of this world where her neurotic imagination
takes shape.
